The chief executive of building products group CSR Ltd says the time taken for new houses to be constructed is getting longer because of disruptions in supply chains, labour shortages and cost pressures, as she also foreshadows continued price increases across many products.
Julie Coates says construction timelines are continuing to lengthen and are now six to 12 months longer for the construction of a new home, once the application process and building on site are combined.
