a2 Milk jumps as CEO signals creamier margins
Jayne Hrdlicka, the chief executive of the a2 Milk Company, says profit margins in financial 2020 will be better than previously signalled and a revamped strategy is building momentum, as the company closely monitors the geopolitical volatility in China.
The improved outlook sparked a hefty rise of 16 per cent in the infant formula group's shares in early trading on Tuesday, before they drifted somewhat, to be 11 per cent higher in afternoon trade at $13.34.
