Nick Molnar has a long black, single shot.“I didn’t realise there were two shots in a long black. I switched to cut down on milk. And I was like, ‘Whoa, check this out, I am f---ing productive’. Then somebody told me I was having two shots in every coffee. I was like, ‘OK, well that explains it’.”

It’s 11am on a Friday, and we’re meeting in a nondescript cafe of Molnar’s choosing in North Bondi. He’s dressed casually: Birkenstocks, black T-shirt, shorts. The owner knows him by name but nobody else seems to notice that, sitting in the corner, with his one-shot long black, is the country’s youngest self-made billionaire.
