Australia’s top chief executives have called on Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to get on with fixing the housing crisis and cut red tape around planning approvals to lift productivity and keep the economy firing next year.

CEOs from across the banking, mining, industrials, media and property sectors have all said that housing supply should be top of the Albanese government’s priority list, and that urgency should filter down to the states and local governments.
