Within its $9b fund, Qantas Super allocated $600 million for social impact investing. This year it backed an aged care project, to improve quality of care.

Social impact investing has involved a lot of talk but little action. One superannuation fund bucking that trend is Qantas Super.

For the past two years, the $9 billion corporate fund – now merging with the much larger Australian Retirement Trust – has been developing an impact investing strategy.
