Insurance giant Suncorp has pushed through home premium increases of almost 7 per cent, the largest increase in years.

Brisbane-based Suncorp, whose brands include AAMI and GIO, linked the price rises in the past six months to a multi-year bombardment of “more frequent and more severe weather events, whether it be fires, floods or hailstorms”.
