Qantas to refer business frequent flyers to SME loans

Qantas will begin referring its business frequent flyers in need of fresh capital to a panel of 80 lenders, including the major banks, helping the struggling airline to lift revenue from its rewards program while helping its customers recover from the pandemic.

Its deal with Valiant Finance is an example of how non-banks with big customer bases can become fintech players, as banks' control over the distribution of financial products continues to break down.
