'Make real money': Client sues over 'sophisticated' investor tag

A woman who says she lost hundreds of thousands of dollars on funds of fallen investment manager Blue Sky claims she was wrongly steered into classing herself as a “sophisticated” investor.

In a Queensland Supreme Court lawsuit against national stockbroking outfit Morgans, Caron Sweetser alleges she was told becoming a sophisticated investor would provide “access to investments only made available to the very best clients and … esteemed investors to make real money”.
