The first red flag for Marcus Hughes came when Mark Sowerby of skyrocketing investment manager Blue Sky spotted an award in a Sydney boardroom.
It was 2015 and Sowerby, founder and chief executive of Blue Sky Alternative Investments, had come to Hughes’ LHC Capital to talk raising money.
