Lease stranglehold ‘helped sink’ Collection House

Hefty leases for debt chaser Collection House proved a devastating millstone in trying to fend off collapse, says a financial autopsy by the ASX-listed company’s administrators.

Attempts were unsuccessful to renegotiate leases, centred on its headquarters in inner-Brisbane’s Newstead, as revenues slumped, the FTI Consulting administrators wrote.
