Senator Deborah O’Neill’s observations on the systemic failure to address financial abuse are commendable, but ultimate responsibility lies with the government (“Financial abuse must be checked”).
Pay parity is the cornerstone of gender equity. It is the government, not corporations, that holds the legislative power to mandate equal pay and dismantle systemic discrimination.
