Experts dazed and confused by APRA’s risk culture pilot

The design and findings of the prudential regulator’s pilot survey into risk culture has been questioned by experts ahead of its rollout across the entire financial sector, starting with the banks, over the next six weeks.

Experts say they are confounded by the approach taken in the first-ever survey of risk culture as the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority steps up its efforts to monitor and supervise governance, risk culture, remuneration and accountability (GCRA) practices.
