Less than six months after Japanese insurer Sony Life picked up a strategic stake in ASX-listed ClearView Wealth, the two companies are looking at a push into the annuities market that is dominated by wealth management giant Challenger.

Speaking to The Australian Financial Review, ClearView chief executive Simon Swanson said it is investigating the Australian retirement income market, saying there is a gap for competitive retirement solutions.
