Six years ago, before artificial intelligence became a household term, historian Yuval Noah Harari wrote 21 Lessons for the 21st Century. In it, he warned of the technological upheavals posed by AI, automation and biotechnology.
Harari cautioned that these advancements could lead to job displacement, greater inequality and ethical concerns surrounding privacy, surveillance and human enhancement.
