CareSuper signs merger deal, taking its retirement funds past AMP

CareSuper will merge with a rival retirement savings fund to create an industry superannuation giant that manages more money than 176-year-old wealth management firm AMP.

The fund is expected to tell members on Monday that it has entered a binding arrangement to fold in the 43-year-old Meat Industry Employee’s Superannuation Fund, adding $1 billion to its retirement pool.
