Australian Retirement Trust is restructuring its investment team and shedding dozens of staff as it finalises the acquisition of smaller funds.
The country’s second-largest pension fund, formed in 2022 with the merger of SunSuper and QSuper, has almost $310 billion in assets under management. It has brought in billions of dollars in retirement savings by acquiring smaller rivals, including Qantas’ corporate super business.
