ASIC releases independent report on super fund fee disclosures

The fees and costs charged by Australia's mandatory superannuation system are so complex the regulator has been urged to develop a database so the public has some chance of comparing funds.
It is one recommendation from Darren McShane, the independent expert who spent nine months reviewing the rules – which were themselves four years in the making – in response to an industry backlash against their sheer complexity.
