Santos chairman Keith Spence has easily survived a push to have him removed from the Adelaide-headquartered oil and gas producer’s board, despite major industry superannuation fund HESTA voting against him.
The company also survived a push to vote down its executive pay plan by a wide margin, despite concerns raised by influential proxy advisory group Institutional Shareholder Services about the use of a corporate jet by Santos chief executive Kevin Gallagher and a “disconnect” in the cost of perks.
