It’s an ASX-listed minnow that started life as a telecommunications group before pivoting to gold and copper in Austria. Now Jade Gas says it is on to a winner – at a Soviet-era coal seam gas operation in Mongolia.

Earlier this year, it told investors it was fast-tracking the coal seam gas development of its project near the Tavan Tolgoi mine in the Gobi Desert, pointing to surging demand from its Mongolian partners as well the federal government’s new strategy that backed-in gas use during the transition away from coal and toward renewable energy.
