It is not surprising that opposition energy spokesman Ted O’Brien, following the Trump playbook, threatens to sack Climate Change Authority chairman Matt Kean (“Coalition may dump Albanese’s ‘puppet’ Kean”) if the Coalition wins the election.
However, one statement Kean has not made is that the LNP’s so-called nuclear policy is not actually a policy nor even an intent. It is just a bunch of words to grab attention, appear to be tough and decisive, and have an alternative to Labor on energy.
