Shareholders in scrap metal recycler CMA Corporation , suspended from trading since February, will vote today to approve a $75 million capital raising proposed by Austock . The company’s major shareholders, Scholz Corporation and Stemcor, have indicated they strongly support the proposal, which trumped a deal that would have seen private equity investor KKR take as much as 80 per cent of the company in return for taking on its debt. The proceeds from the capital raising will be used to pay down debt.
