Harvesting for the 2007 season began on July 16 but drought and cold weather severely affected the crop. Recent heavy rains will benefit longer-term crop prospects. Reduced asset valuations led to a big drop in accounting profit in 2006-07. The company said it remained committed to its merger with Mulgrave Central Mill. Staff reporter
