It was a case of duopolies at war on Thursday, with Coles toppling Woolworths and Medibank Private revealing much better numbers than Ramsay Health Care.
The big result | It was Napoleon Bonaparte who supposedly declared that you should never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake. The result delivered by Coles chief executive Leah Weckert is a testament to this wisdom.
On the penultimate day of a frantic February profit season, Weckert has delivered one of best results of the period.
