New NAB boss must adopt Ross McEwan’s ‘superpower’
Andrew Irvine’s impressive performance growing NAB’s powerhouse business bank has won him the top job. Now he needs to borrow from the playbook of retiring CEO, Ross McEwan.
National Australia Bank chief executive Ross McEwan claims he isn’t planning to give successor Andrew Irvine any advice when he hands over the reins on April 2.
“He’s been working with me now for three-and-a-bit years,” McEwan told Chanticleer on Wednesday after announcing he would retire after four years in the job. “He already knows exactly what I’m thinking.”
