Investors are asking the wrong questions on interest rates
From the RBA to the Bank of Japan and the Federal Reserve, the market’s obsession with interest rates will go into overdrive this week. But it may be leading investors down the wrong path.
If you thought the market was already obsessed with interest rates, you ain’t seen nothing yet.
On Wednesday, Australian financial markets will stop at 11.30am for the June quarter inflation data, which is likely to decide whether the Reserve Bank needs one more rate hike.
