The surge in Nvidia’s stock has been nothing short of spectacular, but what happened after the market closed overnight shows why the AI boom is starting to look like a “baby bubble”.
In a sector that every investor seems to want exposure to, it’s come to be seen as the “safe” play – you might not be able to pick which tech giant (or emerging start-up) is going to come up with the killer AI application, but you can bet all of them will rely in some way, shape or form on Nvidia’s chips, which power many of the biggest generative AI models.
