Hard for RBA to cut rates without a breaking point
It’s nearly four years since we last had a rate cut. We could be waiting a while longer.
Inflation is on the way down, unemployment is on the way up, yet interest rates are going nowhere.
So what is the Reserve Bank of Australia waiting for: something to break or for the immigration/government spending surge to die down? Which one comes first?
