Frazis’ removal leaves mess for BoQ

At the heart of the immediate removal of Bank of Queensland chief executive George Frazis are differences over style and strategy.

If Bank of Queensland chairman Patrick Allaway had any doubts about the decision his board reached on the weekend to immediately remove chief executive George Frazis, it had probably evaporated by Monday morning.

Allaway woke up to find the news of the CEO’s removal had been leaked to the press, and spun in such a way that it even suggested Frazis could stay on as a consultant.
