Chemist Warehouse co-founders Jack and Sam Gance and Mario Verrocchi admit there are plenty of people who’ve told them that they might not like the transition from being a very private company to a public one through their $30 billion merger with Sigma Healthcare.

But speaking ahead of being crowned The Australian Financial Review’s Business Person of the Year a few weeks ago, Jack emphasised that the founders are ready for the jump, and the new layers of governance that will entail.
