Booming Boral shows why RBA rate cuts could be some way off
Boral’s share price surge has been built on the back of price rises. RBA governor Michele Bullock is right to say the central bank hasn’t tamed this dragon yet.
The impressive turnaround at building materials giant Boral under Vik Bansal shows no sign of stopping.
Bansal sent the stock up 8.3 per cent on Friday after more than doubling December-half earnings before interest and tax and announcing a profit upgrade for the full financial year. The stock has now surged about 130 per cent since October 2022.
