ACCC’s mobile attack backfires
The ACCC never liked the fact that a Federal Court judge approved the TPG merger with Vodafone. But its attempt at payback has backfired.
When the competition regulator set out to prove that the Federal Court’s Justice John Middleton got it wrong in allowing the TPG merger with Vodafone, it shot itself in the foot.
How else to explain the failure of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission to get the numbers right on Vodafone’s mobile phone plans in a document claiming the three main mobile operators have been screwing consumers?
