With his company facing a potentially existential regulatory crisis and his revenue base decimated by the pandemic, the last thing you might expect Crown Resorts chief executive Steve McCann to be worried about is labour shortages.

But having seen how the economy can bounce back once the lockdown shackles are lifted, McCann is wary of being caught short of good staff in a market where labour supply will be throttled by border restrictions.
