Shocking CCTV footage showing the moment two men – one wielding a gun, the other holding a knife – threatened staff at a popular hotel north of Adelaide, has been released by police.
Police were called to the Old Bushman Hotel on Cowan St on September 3 after reports two men had entered the gaming room and threatened staff, before stealing money and fleeing in a black Mercedes.
Footage shows the black sedan – which police believe was stolen – pulling up to the hotel and two men exiting the vehicle.
One of the men carried a firearm and the other a knife.
The man brandishing the knife proceeds to a counter and appears to threaten staff, while the other stands guard.
The men then flee the venue in the same black Mercedes sedan, which has a white interior.
Police said the car was driven by a third person who didn’t get out of the vehicle.
The next day, on Wednesday, September 4, a black Mercedes sedan, which was reported stolen – and was believed to be the same vehicle used during the robbery – was found burnt out on Oates Rd, Ward Belt about 5.30am
Police are appealing to the public to help identify the men. Anyone with information relating to this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, quoting reference number 24-164M.
