Men armed with gun and knife rob Gawler hotel before fleeing in black Mercedes

Two men – one wielding a gun, the other holding a knife – threatened staff at a popular hotel north of Adelaide overnight, before robbing the venue and taking off in a black Mercedes.

Two armed men are on the run after threatening staff at a Gawler hotel then robbing the venue overnight.

Police were called to the Old Bushman Hotel on Cowan St, Gawler, just before 3am on Tuesday after reports two men entered the gaming room and threatened staff, before stealing money and fleeing the scene.

Police say one of the men was armed with a firearm and the other was carrying a knife.

The suspects fled the scene in a black Mercedes sedan which had a white interior.

It is believed the car was being driven by a third person who did not get out of the car.
