CCTV footage released in bid to find suspect of random CBD nightclub attack

Police have released CCTV footage in a call for witnesses. Meanwhile, two men have been taken to hospital after they were both stabbed in a separate CBD fight.

Footage linked to a random attack in a CBD nightclub in Adelaide has been released in a bid to find the suspect.

The incident happened inside a Hindley St nightclub about 2.30am Sunday March 13, where a man, 21, was grabbed from behind and punched in the face by a man not known to him.

The victim was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital and treated for facial injuries.

The suspect remains at large, and he is described as being of African appearance, aged between 18-25, 185cm tall with a medium build and black curly hair.

He was wearing a plain black T-shirt, black pants and black shoes.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, two men have been rushed to hospital after they were both stabbed in a fight in Adelaide’s CBD.

The altercation happened about 6.30pm Tuesday in Whitmore Square, with both men suffering minor injuries.

The pair were known to each other, and were both rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment.

Following investigations, one of the men, from Hectorville, 52, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault causing harm and carrying an offensive weapon.

He was refused bail to appear in court on Wednesday.

It follows a series of stabbings in Adelaide in recent months, including one that occurred in Adelaide near the Railway Station.

A Far North woman, 28, was taken to the RAH and treated for leg injuries on May 15.

The day before, a man was allegedly stabbed in a home invasion at Elizabeth Vale.

The occupant was stabbed in the stomach in the incident and rushed to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
