Valentine’s Day: Bode Hair Lounge and Robbie’s Chop Shop giveaway special couple’s experience

They were voted SA’s best in our polls and now this hairdresser and barber have joined forces to give one lucky couple a Valentine’s Day to remember.

They were voted SA’s best and now a King William Road hairdresser and barber have come together to give back this Valentine’s Day.

Melissa Bode of Bode Hair Lounge and Robert Ferrante of Robbie’s Chop Shop were each named as top of their craft in our ‘Best of’ reader poll series in 2020.

The neighbouring businesses have now joined forces to giveaway free haircuts and styling to one lucky Adelaide couple this Valentine’s Day.

Ms Bode – SA’s best hairdresser – said she and SA’s best barber Mr Ferrante wanted to give back to a local couple and their own community.

“We’re literally a shop away from each other and we wanted to get more shops along the road involved as well to bring that support here for them too,” she said.

“We’re a good community and there’s a lot of support for each other and a good vibe along the street.

“We wanted it to be significant and mean something special to whoever wins.”

The winning couple will also receive chocolates from Steven ter Horst and a dining voucher for Parisi’s Restaurant also on King William Road.

Mr Ferrante said King William Road traders were more than happy to get involved in the special competition.

“When we went through the street closure a few years ago during the roadworks we all really banded together and supported each other so that goes hand-in-hand with this.,” he said.

“King William is one of those hub’s that will last the test of time, even as a kid this was the place to be if you wanted to go somewhere fancy or for a special experience this is the place you would come.

“I think it’ll be like this for many years to come.”
