Holbrook farms The Pinnacles and Maybank for sale for $25m-plus
A pair of first-class southern NSW grazing farms, totalling 1092ha, have hit the market where they could receive offers worth more than $20,000 a hectare.
A pair of first-class southern NSW grazing farms near Holbrook have hit the market where they are expected to command strong offers.
Located 14km north of Holbrook and just 5km apart, the 649ha The Pinnacles and the 443ha Maybank properties, have been listed for sale where they are offered as a whole 1092ha aggregation (non-contiguous) or as separate assets, via a private treaty.
A price guide of $13.2 million has been listed for The Pinnacles while Maybank has a guide of $12 million, for a combined total of $25.2 million.
Maybank is owned by Albury livestock agent and grazier Trent Boers, via the Kilsyth Pastoral Company, which purchased the property after it was listed for sale in 2020.
Mr Boers acquired the property from Chris Gates and Meg Wade, who had run a beef cattle herd as well as their renowned Castlebar Endurance Arabians horse stud.
The nearby The Pinnacles property is owned by Kincardine Pastoral, a collaboration between multiple parties including the Boers.
Kincardine Pastoral previously owned the 1295ha property Stonehaven, located 19km north of Holbrook, selling the holding to fourth-generation northern Victorian dairy farmer Travis Cox and his wife Julia in 2019.
About 80 per cent of The Pinnacles and Maybank aggregation, or 863ha, has been developed with high-performance pastures, while a mix of soils are suitable for cropping and grazing pursuits.
A four-bedroom and three-bathroom homestead – one of the premier homesteads in the district – also stands on the Maybank property, alongside significant cattle infrastructure on both holdings.
LAWD director Tim Corcoran and senior director Col Medway are handling the sale of The Pinnacles and the Maybank properties. They declined to comment on the listing.
The Pinnacles and Maybank aggregation is one of a number of major NSW farms which have been listed for sale ahead of the spring selling season including the Day family’s Quamby aggregation, which spans 2556ha across six parcels near Lockhart.
Two historic family-owned farms spanning 3800ha and 3200ha near Young have also been listed for sale separately, where they are expected command offers worth $100 million combined.
