An aggregation of dairy farms in Gippsland are under offer, after they were listed for sale in June.

The Clydebank aggregation, owned by the Gippsland company Gray Wigg Gault, had an asking price of more than $20 million.

It has been reported the sale is subject to approval by the Foreign Investment Review Board.

The Weekly Times recently revealed the aggregation had hit the market, with land titles showing the property was owned by trucking contractor Patrick Gray and local farmers Lachlan Wigg and Matthew Gault.

According to the listing, marketed by LAWD, the aggregation comprises of 1273ha and has significant water entitlements.

It comes as Mr Gray and Mr Wigg listed a huge portfolio of dairy farms for sale at Nambrok and Winnindoo in Gippsland’s Macalister Irrigation District in August last year.

The farms milked about 5000 cows and were purchased by Aurora Dairies – owned by Canada’s Public Sector Pension Investment Board – for more than $55 million.

Cropping and grazing country was also offloaded by the trio in a quick sale in September last year.

The three farms, located at Perry Bridge, Bushy Park and Bengworden, covering 604ha combined, were listed as under offer and were sold by 5pm following day.
