Catombal Aggregation at Cumnock, NSW for sale with Ray White Emms Mooney

The investor-owned Catombal Aggregation, at Cumnock in Central NSW, is back on the market after it was listed in 2016.

Catombal Aggregation at Cumnock in NSW is back on the market.

An aggregation in central NSW has been listed for sale for the second time in four-and-half-years for more than $21 million.

The 2912ha grazing and cropping property, Catombal Aggregation at Cumnock, is being sold via expressions of interest which will close on September 6.

It comes after the aggregation was listed for auction in December 2016.

Price expectations are $7400 per ha – in line with district sales.

Catombal Aggregation is reportedly owed by the investment group Rural Investor.

The Munro family purchased the property in 1877 and sold it in 2012, splitting it into five parcels.

Selling agent Ben Redfern from Ray White Emma Mooney told The Weekly Times the property had the ability to run a range of enterprises.

“You can grow everything from stock to prime hard wheat, and there are not many areas that can do that,” Mr Redfern said.

“There is the versatility provided by rain which falls across 12 months, and it’s equally suited to running sheep, cattle or cropping.

“The Cumnock district has long been recognised for being a safe and reliable production environment for all enterprise options and it is rare to be able to buy a property of this size in the district.”

Mr Redfern said interest in the property was coming from city-based investors, local farmers as well as interstate producers.

It comes as a farm at Condobolin recently sold for $16 million.

The 4155ha property, Euglo, was purchased by livestock agents James Tierney and Tim Drum on conjunction with Junee farmers Robert and Alison Hart,

Mr Tierney and Mr Drum are directors of the Wagga Wagga based Riverina Livestock Agents.
