Former southern NSW stud cattle breeder Corey Ireland is yet to enter a plea on 13 fraud charges in Wagga Wagga Local Court.

His former property Ivydell at Kyeamba, which has since been sold, was raided by the NSW Rural Crime Investigation Unit on December 17, 2019, after police set up Strike Force Seger to investigate an alleged cattle fraud operation.

Police later charged Mr Ireland, in 2020, with the 13 fraud charges.

Mr Ireland’s bail conditions were continued during the court proceedings on Wednesday morning.

The matter is listed again in the Wagga Wagga Local Court on March 15, and Mr Ireland is excused if he is legally represented.

The long-running process relating to Mr Ireland and Ireland’s Angus Stud has also included civil matters in the Federal Court and the NSW Supreme Court.

Earlier this month, Mr Ireland and his wife, Prudence Jane Ireland, appeared in the Sydney Downing Centre for a two-day special fixture.

They were found not guilty of failing to deliver books to the liquidator.

Magistrate E Manea found them not guilty of one charge relating to not delivering books.

However, the matter is again listed for a further decision on March 6 at the Sydney Downing Centre.

Mr and Mrs Ireland’s liquidated company, CD and PJ Ireland, was the trustee for the Ireland Family Trust, which traded as Ireland’s Angus Stud.

Liquidation resulted after court action on November 14, 2019, from petitioning creditor East Coast Stockfeeds.
