The Shed @ Terindah

Step into Terindah Estate's vineyard wonderland and be dazzled by edible flowers, tangled seaweed strips and native grasses plucked from the vineyard grounds and worked on to the restaurant's plates. Foraged produce dances atop such simple delights as house-smoked trout with black sesame; and chicken and pistachio terrine triangles with sticky apricot relish. It's also mixed through skate and citrus salad alongside golden whiting fillets. Even the more rustic dishes, such as whole roasted duck or sliced eye fillet with braised Otway shiitake mushrooms, are executed with precision. All the elements come together inside the dramatic glass and steel dining room at one of Bellarine's newest and prettiest elevated outposts, with sweeping views of Corio Bay. The wine list is limited but that's a minor quibble. Finish with pillowy chocolate mousse and local berries when they're in season, or nab a spot under the large eucalypt, and savour a glass of the vineyard's finest and that view.
