You’ve got three different NYE options across three different levels of the CBD’s late-night juggernaut Her.
At Her Bar’s Ground Floor, enjoy a menu of wine bar snacks and shared summer plates before tucking into a classic, steak frites for $85 with lots of drink specials to clink with.
It’s walk-ins only at Music Room, with a line-up of top DJs keeping things rocking over the nine-hour party. On level three, there’ll be a fiery four-course set menu for $85. The rooftop will rock, but alas it’s already sold out.

The Builders Arms Hotel
The Builders Arms Hotel continues to be the great Melbourne pub you can always rely on all year round, and is keeping things spinning, literally, on the rôtisserie over the New Year. Feast on rôtisserie prime rib and kipfler potatoes for on New Year’s Eve and come back the next day for rôtisserie whole suckling pig and Bizzarro spritz.

Curious at W Hotel
In the mood to party? W Hotel’s very stylish Curious bar is pulling out all the stops, with roaming canapes, free-flowing drinks and non-stop performances — in the words of Lionel Richie — all night long. Sip on Perrier-Jouet Champagne on arrival, followed by a selection of French bubbles, rose, wine and three classic cocktails. All this for $255 per person from 7.30pm until late.

Bobbie Peels
Bobbie Peels is keeping New Year’s Eve simple this year. No packages, no door charges, and no fuss, just a relaxed night to send the locals off into 2025 with a bang.
They’ll be open from 4pm until late, with a complimentary glass of bubbles at midnight to celebrate. Plus, they’ve teamed up with Coopers Brewery to keep the good times rolling with $8 schooners all night long.

Amaru
Fancy bringing 2025 in fine style? Three-hatted restaurant Amaru is cooking up something special. For $360 per person you will enjoy six snacks, six courses and champagne via magnum on arrival. For another $210 per person you’ll get a bespoke drinks pairing (or $95 for non-alcohol). Go on, you deserve it!

Heartbreaker
It’s been a challenging year, to put it mildly, so Heartbreaker Bar is seeing it off in fitting style with their ‘Death to 2024’ New Year’s Eve party ‘that puts a nail in the coffin we’re all ready to bury’. Entry is free but registration is advised to enjoy drink specials, a live DJ and a mission to dance into the dawn and leave 2024 in the dust. Word.

Taxi Kitchen
Position yourself in the centre of the city action as Taxi Kitchen gets set to embrace its inner 70s disco diva with a spectacular Studio 54-themed celebration. Feast on a five-course menu, sip on free-flowing drinks (including cocktails on arrival) and ooh and ahh at the spectacular views of the fireworks, all while a DJ spins disco classics. All-inclusive food and drinks for $385 or five-course dinner with cocktail on arrival and DJ action for $250 per person.

Lilac Wine
No tickets are required but bookings are recommended at Cremorne’s laid back backstreet wine bar Lilac Wine, who’ll be hosting a patio party with set menus, snacks, cocktails and DJs from 2pm until late.
Marionette Liqueur is teaming up with Molli Bar Manager Kayla Saito on a special cocktail menu just for the occasion. Think spritzes, milk punches, glittery blue cosmo riffs and more.
Alongside the Lilac grilled cheese gilda and lamb skewer, they’ll have a one-off menu of BBQ snacks cooked over fire and coals in the courtyard. Get down there.
