In a sun-drenched spot in Seddon, Chicco takes an effortlessly eclectic approach. Cut-glass punch bowls in macrame plant-holders hang above diners reclining on cushions made from coffee sacks. And the interesting menu might include all-day breakfasts, such as dukkah-dusted poached eggs, or for lunch, Cypriot bread salad with red-pepper-and-cashew pesto. The humble jaffle is resurrected, stuffed to bursting with pancetta and provolone. Chicco gets into DIY with gusto: chorizo and capocollo are house-made, as well as wicked sweets such as chocolate, Cointreau and pecan brownies.
