Nashville-style diner Hot Chicken Project to open in Anglesea
Anglesea is in for an extra hot summer. Igni chef Aaron Turner has taken a site in the seaside town for a second Hot Chicken Project, his Geelong-based diner serving Nashville-style hot chicken and natural wine.
It will be a rollout of Geelong's menu of wings, tenders and mushrooms in their spice mix of varying pain levels. In addition, Turner says the chefs will work in some hot fried seafood options given the location.
Nestled between 4 Kings Coffee and a day spa (what a package!) the space can hold 150, including a licensed outdoor area, and the plan is to open daily over summer and run a number of parties with DJs.
In other Turner and fried chicken news, he has just returned from Nashville, where he has been researching and shooting for a new book on hot chicken, due out next year through Hardie Grant.
Hot Chicken Project Anglesea is slated to open early November at 143A Great Ocean Road, Anglesea.
