Two more arrests as Tasmania Police investigate alleged murder of Jarrod Leigh Turner

UPDATED: A vehicle has been seized and a home searched as part of the police investigation into the alleged murder of Jarrod Leigh Turner.
A man and woman arrested on Friday night at Fingal remain in custody and are yet to be charged.
Police said the pair were assisting with their investigation.
Since their arrest police raided a house at Fingal where a number of items were seized.
“A vehicle was also seized at the scene of the arrest and is being subject to forensic examination,” Tasmania Police said in a statement.
Police also said they were pursuing a number of other lines of inquiry.
Police said they would not provide any details about the suspects for “investigative reasons”.
A 14-year-old girl allegedly linked to the killing has been charged with one count of being an accessory after the fact to murder.

Mr Turner’s body was discovered on the side of Colebrook Rd, about 2km north of Richmond, on Sunday.
Police later confirmed Mr Turner, 22, of Gagebrook, had been shot in the head.

EARLIER: A man and woman have been arrested in connection with the alleged murder of Jarrod Leigh Turner after a police operation involving the Westpac Rescue helicopter.
Members of the Special Operations Group, Bellerive detectives and officers from the Northern and Southern police districts caught the pair in the Fingal Valley area on Friday night.
Police would not provide any details about the suspects for “investigative reasons” but said they would remain in custody overnight for questioning.
Detective Inspector Doug Rossiter said the team working on the case had been pursuing specific lines of inquiry.
The arrests came after a 14-year-old girl allegedly linked to the killing was charged with one count of being an accessory after the fact to murder.

The teenager, who was arrested late on Tuesday night, appeared in a closed court session on Thursday afternoon and did not apply for bail.
Hours after the girl was remanded in custody, a 29-year-old Moonah man who was assisting police with their investigation was released without charge.
