Cops appeal following western Sydney shooting, arson

A drive-by shooting just hours after an alleged prison fight between two high-profile Sydney rappers has led to NSW Police releasing CCTV footage as their investigations ramp up.

The mother of Sesita Lyzwa, better known as “Radistarz”, had her car firebombed and her Wilmot home shot at multiple times on June 14.

The day before, on June 13, Lyzwa had gone to visit his brother Alexen at Parklea Correctional Centre when he became involved in a brawl with Ali “Ay Huncho” Younes.

Younes was at the time in custody on remand over kidnapping charges, but has since been released on bail.

NSW Police launched Strike Force Belly to investigate two incidents at Lyzwa’s mother’s home on June 14 — the firebombing of her car at 3am and then the spraying of it with bullets at 10.30pm that night.

No charges have been laid in relation to those incidents.

Investigators have now released CCTV footage showing a dark-coloured Toyota Prado SUV driving through the Wilmot area that night.

The vision shows the car — which was believed to be stolen — shortly after the shooting travelling on suburban roads and then southbound onto the M7 Motorway near Prestons driving towards the M5 Motorway.

In a statement, police said they believe the drive-by shooting is linked to the prison brawl.

Tensions between Lyzwa and Younes first erupted in November 2023 when they involved in an altercation at a Westfield shopping centre which was caught on CCTV.

But they allegedly exploded again in the prison brawl, which saw both Lyzwa and Younes charged with affray.

Lyzwa pleaded guilty at Blacktown Local Court on June 21 and was sentenced to one-month behind bars.

Younes has pleaded not guilty and is set to face a hearing on November 28.
