The home of western Sydney rapper involved in a jailhouse fight with an alleged member of the Alameddine crime family has been targeted for the second time in as many days.
Police were called to the property of Sesita Lyzwa’s mother in Willmot about 11.30pm Friday night after reports of a drive-by shooting on the home.
Detectives were on the scene early Saturday morning combing for evidence, taking pictures and interviewing nearby neighbours.
It is believed a gunman fired multiple shots in the house on Discovery Ave before speeding off.
It came just 24 hours after the same home was targeted on Thursday night when a group of men set fire to a car in the driveway.
One neighbour, who did not wish to be identified, said she heard “about five bangs” on Friday night before ducking for cover.
“We just heard the shots, bang bang bang, grabbed the kids and then ran to the other side of the house,” she said.
“It was the last thing you expect to hear. But after the other night (the car fire) we’re a bit shaken up.
“This is normally a very quiet street and we actually don’t know much about the people in that place.”
The remnants of the burned out Holden remain in the driveway that police have again taped off as a crime scene.
Police were focusing on four bullets holes in a bedroom window at the front of the house where children’s toys, soccer balls and a blow up pool could be seen in the yard.
Lyzwa, who goes by the moniker ‘Radistarz’, was this week charged over an alleged altercation with fellow rapper Ali Younes after a brawl inside Parklea Jail on Wednesday.
Police allege Lyzwa was visiting his brother when Younes spotted him sitting at a table in the visitor’s room and a melee erupted.
Police are investigating if the fight, the car fire and the shooting at the home of Lyzwa’s mother are linked.
Lyzwa, who is also a rap musician and goes by the name of Radistarz, was arrested by State Crime Command’s Raptor Squad over Wednesday’s incident on Thursday night and was being questioned by police.
He was taken to Mt Druitt Police Station where he was charged with affray, refused bail to appear before Mt Druitt Local Court on Friday.
In a statement, NSW Police confirmed officers from Riverstone were called to the jail just after 9.30am, but said the investigation had since been handed over to the State Crime Command’s Criminal Groups Squad.
The pair had previously had a run in at a Westfield shopping centre last year where Lyzwa was punched in the face, not by Younes.
Younes, or ‘Ay Huncho’, is alleged to be a member of the Alameddine crime network and was in custody at the time of the jailhouse fracas over charges relating to his alleged role in an underworld kidnapping.
