Renee Gracie on what life on OnlyFans is really like

Renee Gracie has a job lots of women have pondered but likely wouldn’t do – and the assumptions made about it are “shameful”.

Confession time: a lot of girls, at some stage of their life, have been faced with a big bill, perhaps car insurance or a massive credit card debt and then had the teeny tiniest ponder about jumping on OnlyFans, getting their kit off and making a quick buck.

For those of you who have been hiding in a cave for the last couple of years, OnlyFans launched in 2016 and is a subscription-based social media platform where users can sell and/or purchase original content. When used as an adult site, users will post NSFW videos and photos to their accounts, which are protected by a paywall.

Good lord, these days you wouldn’t even have to show your face! Just throw in a few videos of your feet, and hey presto, there’s your next electricity bill sorted. Let’s book a trip to Bali!

Now listen, there is no way in the world I would do it, but have I considered it? Most definitely, yes.

I think it takes an insane amount of bravado to throw caution to the wind and film some adult content for the sake of a buck. So when I invited OnlyFans star Renee Gracie onto my Kinda Sorta Dating podcast for a chat about ‘AussieFans’, the new adult platform she has joined, I had a giant list of questions to ask her.

I have to confess that I wasn’t expecting the woman who presented herself in front of me for our chat. Yes, I hang my head in shame as I admit that I thought she may be a ‘little rough around the edges’ and have no long term goals or ambitions.

Well turns out the joke was on me, because she was smart, savvy, and yes … obviously sexy. When I boldly asked her how much money she makes in a month she said, with a small shrug: “Oh, I make in the triple figures every month.”

Jokingly, I then said: “So how many houses do you own?” and she replied “three”!

Yep, she’s 26 years old, has been in the adult industry for three years and has managed to become a millionaire, buy three houses … oh, and she’s trying to buy her own team to be part of Bathurst 1000.

She’s got the money to do it but there’s just one problem: Bathurst 1000 has no intention of letting her drive because, you know, she’s also in the adult entertainment industry. Big whoop! Are we really still that old and fuddy duddy?

As she explained the financial benefits of her raunchy job, I mentally started booking a camera man and undoing my bra, until she explained just how much work goes into making this kind of content, and how many mistakes women make trying to get into the industry.

Yep, it’s not for the faint hearted. You see, as much as I would love to make a quick buck, it turns out it ain’t so quick and you really have to be “all in”.

As in, prepared for the world to see you with your kit off, and not just every now and then when you feel like it. Those making the big bucks on such sites, have to offer a variety of videos and pictures. As well as take requests from their high-paying customers.

These requests can include “feet stuff”, eating food, farting on camera (yes, you read that right) and getting down and jiggy with it on a very regular basis. As soon as you slow down, your customers take their money to accounts offering far more new and exciting content.

Renee explained there is not one body part she hasn’t shared with her fans.

Sorry but my long ugly toes are staying exactly where they belong – inside a nice closed-toe high heel.

And it’s not just the video content you have to be taking care of, it’s the money side of things too. Obtaining an ABN, looking after your own tax, making sure you’re you’ve registered your business, finding tax breaks, and charging the right amount of money for your site.

So sure, we might all huff and puff about our dwindling finances, but thinking to yourself “Oh well, I can always just jump on OnlyFans if things get tough,” is actually not that simple.

Looks like I’ll be cancelling that big fancy lunch I had planned next week, and eating scrambled eggs on toast instead, because turns out this upcoming car insurance bill sure ain’t going to pay for itself! Sigh.
