Warning: Spoilers below

Those with the enviable skill should be able to spy the hidden figure amid the lines in eight seconds flat, but the head-scratcher isn’t as easy as it seems.

At first, the image appears to only show rows of black and white lines in a zigzag pattern, but a closer look — hint: and a bit of squinting — will reveal the striped animal in the image.

Here’s a hint: Try focusing on the image while your eyes are crossed.

Only those with an eye for optical challenges will spot the zebra in the centre of this brainteaser as 98% of viewers are said to be stumped on first look, according to the puzzle’s creators.

Other eye riddles have been said to reveal certain traits about the viewer — such as whether you are logical or emotional, stubborn or forgiving or are an optimist or pessimist — while others test their intellect or serve as a fun way to pass time.

A few, however, are head-scratching, viral photos that have baffled the internet as viewers attempt to decipher the images.

For instance, a recent optical illusion that reveals your true personality went viral.

The illusion is said to determine whether you are impatient, impulsive or controlling based on what you see first in the picture.

Another of a “grumpy old man” had seasoned puzzlers scratching their heads trying to find the answer.

The aim of that puzzle is to find the old man’s sleeping wife in just 11 seconds – if you can the test asserts that you have 20/20 vision.
