There are so many things to consider before flying - especially with kids.
Do you have everything you need? How early do we need to get there? Where are the passports??
But, according to one flight attendant, the last thing on your mind is probably the thing you should consider first - or deal with the consequences.

What you wear is important!
A flight attendant on TikTok as Cher Dallas has taken to the app to expose all the things you probably shouldn’t wear on a plane - and there’s more than you thought.
Cher said she’s been a flight attendant for 6 years, so she’s well and truly decided on the do’s and don’ts.
First off, Cher said the rompers and playsuits are a huge no-no.
“I would never, never, never wear a romper going to the bathroom. That thing is gonna end up on the floor, which is soaked with pee and doesn’t get mopped often,” she said.
And, the shorts are an issue in itself.
“I’d also never wear shorts. The amount of times that dirty [nappies] get changed on the seats is astonishing, not to mention people vomit, people are dirty themselves and are sitting in the seats,” she said.
“You’re asking for ringworm or a staph infection by wearing shorts.”

“The carpet on the plane is filthy dirty”
Shoes can also be a huge issue.
“These Havaianas from Revolve are really cute but I would never travel in sandals ever,” she said.
“The carpet on the plane is filthy dirty - people vomit on it, people have pets on it, people rub their bare feet on it. I would not want my toes anywhere near an open exposure to that.”
Layers, layers, layers!
According to Cher, the key to dressing the right way is layers.
Any form of singlet or tube top alone is probably a no-go.
“I would never wear a tank top or a tube top by itself. Not only are you gonna freeze to death and probably come up to the flight attendant and ask if we have blankets on a domestic flight - which the answer is ‘no’ - I feel like decorum-wise it’s always better to air on the side of modesty when it comes to travelling,” she said.
And sweaters are just as bad - if you have nothing underneath.
“I would never wear a sweater or sweatshirt by itself without something under it. I’ve had actual medical emergencies because somebody has overheated, and we had to take her top off, and she was just having to sit in her bra in the cabin,” she said.
“Layers are so important when flying. It can either be so freezing or burning hot, and hot on a plane is a different kind of heat!”
